(VOVworld) - Iranian Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday ordered Iran to build four more nuclear research reactors in addition to the sole one operating in Tehran. The order came after Ahmadinejad unveiled a number of advances in Iran’s controversial nuclear program like adding 3,000 more centrifuges and inserting Iran’s first domestically-produced fuel rod into a research reactor in Tehran. In the first response to the move, US State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that Tehran’s nuclear achievements were inflated. White House spokesman Jay Carney said that Iran is lashing out at the world to “distract attention” from the damage that international sanctions are having at home. Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said an Iran with nuclear weapons is not an option for Russia, but adding that Moscow will not take part in sanctions which are likely to issue for regime change in Iran.
