(VOVworld) - Yen Bai provincial People’s Committee organised a conference in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, on Friday to introduce its development potential and investment opportunities.

The event attracted around 150 Korean businesses who are seeking investment opportunities in Vietnam and Yen Bai province in particular.

Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People’s Committee, praised the RoK enterprises’ contributions to Yen Bai’s socio-economic development and the relationship between the two nations.

She pledged that local authorities would create optimal conditions for foreign investors, including those from the RoK.

Vietnam’s Ambassador to Korea, Pham Huu Chi, highlighted the event as one of the first investment promotional activities by a Vietnamese locality in the RoK in 2017.

He also spoke highly of Yen Bai authorities’ efforts to attract foreign investment, on the basis of mutual advantages.
