(VOVworld) – A ceremony was held in Hanoi on Monday to honor excellent youth studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example from 2014 to 2016.

At the meeting, twenty outstanding young people were presented with medals for their performances in studying, working, and setting a bright example in following President Ho Chi Minh’s morality.

In his address, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said the Party, State, and people put their faith in the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Vietnam’s younger generation.

He said he hopes and strongly believes that the union will always be deserving of its status as a reliable force of the Party, the vanguard of the Vietnamese revolution, and the future master of Vietnam.

Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong said: “The Youth Union at all levels has creatively applied the standards, morality, and ideology of President Ho Chi Minh to match the situation in each locality and for each generation. They’ve diversified the movement to learn and follow Uncle Ho’s moral example in various forms and combined it with campaigns by the Youth Union, associations, and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization. As a result, the education of young people, teenagers, and adolescents has been strengthened while the Youth Union at the grassroots level has been consolidated.”

445 delegates representing more than 25 million Youth Union members nationwide attended the fourth congress of youths who excel at following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.
