(VOVWORLD) - The history of the Vietnam Youth Union is being introduced at the Hoa Lo prison historical relic site in Hanoi.
Works on display at the “Fire of the Youth” exhibition include documents, objects, photos, and records of interviews of historical witnesses, soldiers, and youth union members who joined the two national resistance wars against the US and the French.
“I knew that you were colonized for a period and you gained independence. It’s important that you have people who stand up and lead the way,” said British visitor Debby.
A visitor can not hold back her tears seeing the exhibits. |
The exhibits shed light on the development of the Youth Union and the contributions by generations of Vietnamese youth toward national construction and defense.
“The exhibition gives me a better understanding of our heroic patriots who fought bravely against foreign invaders,” said Nguyen Hoang Duong, a student from Ngo Quyen Middle School in Hanoi
The exhibition marks the 88th anniversary of the HCM Communist Youth Union, March 26.
