From now until the pandemic is declared over, the Youth Union will provide essential goods and free meals to disadvantaged people, freelancers, people with disabilities, and sick people and support young workers, who are losing their jobs and incomes. The program will give scholarships and support students registering for online training courses.
Nguyen Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Federation, said: “Members of the Youth Union, who are not affected by the pandemic, are encouraged to work with the Youth Union at all levels to help disadvantaged people. We commit to receive and transparently and promptly allocate the donations to the right people.”
On Wednesday over 1,500 children of unemployed workers received gifts from the program.
