(VOVworld) – Businesses and entrepreneurs play a key role in national development, said Vuong Dinh Hue, head of the Central Economic Committee at the Vietnam Startup Forum in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Hue said the Party and government have promulgated many policies to stimulate business growth and tap the role of enterprises and entrepreneurs for the purpose of national construction and defense.

Numerous laws and legal documents have been issued to create favorable conditions for the business community, including startup companies.

Hue noted that small and medium-sized enterprises and private companies have been developing and are becoming an important driver of the national economy.

Participants put forth solutions including an increase in research, improving quality and added value, and helping start-up firms to participate in the global value chain efficiently.

Proposals were also offered on ways to diversify financial investment resources and business startup programs for young people in rural and mountain areas.
