PM inaugurates major national projects marking Reunification Day anniversary
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a ceremony at the Terminal 3 of the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City on Saturday to launch and inaugurate key national development projects to mark marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025). Simultaneously, 80 significant infrastructure projects were either inaugurated or commenced in 26 other cities and provinces.

In his remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said the Government, ministries, sectors, and local authorities, have in recent time taken resolute actions to mobilize resources, remove institutional bottlenecks, and overcome challenges to accelerate the progress of crucial national projects.

The Prime Minister said: "The socio-economic infrastructure projects launched and inaugurated today are of great strategic importance. They reflect the strong resolve of the Party, State, ministries, localities, and businesses to create new development space, lay the foundation for national growth, ensure social welfare, and strengthen national defense and security. These projects are symbols of Vietnam’s aspirations, helping to affirm the country's image on the world stage as a nation of ‘Independence – Peace – Unity – Self-Reliance – Happiness – Prosperity – Civilization.’”

Earlier at the same venue, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also attended a ceremony to announce the pilot of applying electronic identification, authentication, and biometric recognition technology to streamline passenger check-in procedures at Terminal T3 of the Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
