The Great Spring Victory of 1975: A Glorious Chapter in Vietnamese History
(VOVWORLD) - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), President Luong Cuong published an article on titled "The victory of the anti-US resistance war for national salvation – lessons on building strong People’s Armed Forces in the new era."

In his article, President Luong Cuong emphasized that the historic victory of the 1975 Spring stands as one of the greatest triumphs in the Vietnamese people's millennia-long struggle for national construction and defense.

He said the Great Victory of the 1975 Spring will forever be inscribed in national history as one of its most glorious chapters, a vivid symbol of revolutionary heroism and human intelligence, and in global history, it is one of the 20th century’s greatest feats, an event with far-reaching international influence and profound contemporary relevance. The great victory marked the beginning of a new era in Vietnam’s history—an era of independence, reunification, and a unified nation advancing on the path to socialism.
In the new context, the people’s armed forces must continue studying and restructuring to ensure their quality, structure and effectiveness. They must thoroughly understand and effectively implement the Party and State’s guidelines on political system reform, aiming for a streamlined apparatus that functions with high efficiency and effectiveness.
