16 terrorists killed during hostage rescue in Pakistan
(VOVWORLD) -Pakistani security forces killed at least 16 terrorists during an operation to rescue hostages following a train hijacking in Kacchi district, Balochistan province.

According to sources, the military operation divided the terrorist group called “the Balochistan Liberation Army” into smaller units while an intense exchange of gunfire continued. The security forces freed 104 hostages (58 men, 31 women, and 15 children).
At least 17 injured people were transported to a nearby hospital and efforts are continuing to obtain the safe release of the remaining hostages. Earlier, official sources reported that a group of armed men opened fire on the Jaffar Express, which had about 450 passengers onboard, and several people were injured.
