In his opening remarks, Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center, a co-organizer of the event, said that AISC 2025 is a dynamic platform for thought leadership, enabling collaboration and groundbreaking discussions to shape the future of AI and semiconductors.
“Vietnam, under strong government leadership, is embracing the Fourth Industrial Revolution and recognizing AI and semiconductors as strategic pillars for development, said Huy, adding, “These fields offer a unique opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to integrate into global value chains and contribute to technological progress. As one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital economies, Vietnam benefits from a strategic location, a skilled workforce, and modernizing infrastructure.”
“Combined with government support and an open investment climate, these factors position Vietnam as an emerging hub for global technology corporations,” the NIC leader insisted.

The opening session of the three-day event provided breakthrough insights into the convergence of AI and semiconductor technology, according to Dr. Christopher Nguyen, founder of the US software company Aitomatic and co-organizer of AISC 2025.
According to Nguyen this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, a once-in-4000-years opportunity. “The point is it's a historic opportunity where the demographics, the trends of the world, the geopolitics, the economics, and where the technology is going. It’s all converging. That's why NIC exists and that's why the policies of the government here are so timely. My call to action for the young people that are attending is: you need to join – and not just join, but lead the AI silicon revolution,” said Nguyen.
This opening session underscored the role of open-source AI in driving innovation and optimizing chip production, offering domestic enterprises a pathway to access advanced technologies, and strengthen their position in the global supply chain.
