The event brings together students from the Nguyen Dinh Chieu School for the blind in Hanoi, the Hai Duong provincial rehabilitation centre for blind people, and Sweden’s Tomelilla art school. The children showcased their worldview and dreams through their art works. Phung Van Minh is a student from Nguyen Dinh Chieu School: "My art works feature flower vases and small plant pots. I hope that through the exhibit, our art works will become well-known and displayed in homes and offices"
Pham Thi Kim Nga, Vice Principal of Nguyen Dinh Chieu School, said the disadvantaged students with their skilled hands have created useful tools for life.
The exhibition is part of the “Art Beyond Sight” project, which was launched in 1999 by Swedish social activist Elizabeth Person to teach arts to visually-impaired people.
