Biden: America is stronger than 4 years ago

(VOVWORLD) - Outgoing President Joe Biden on Monday said that America was stronger on the global stage than it had been for decades while delivering a speech defending his administration’s foreign policy.

He said US adversaries are weaker than when he took office four years ago despite global crises that remain unresolved.
Mr. Biden highlighted the US’s efforts to strengthen NATO, unite allies to support Ukraine, foster Japan-South Korea relations, and expand global partnerships. He also defended the decision on US withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021. Biden said negotiators were close to reaching a deal that would free hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip and halt the fighting in the Palestinian enclave to allow a surge of humanitarian aid.
This is President Biden’s final foreign policy speech, just days before President-elect Donald Trump is set to take office.
During his campaign, Mr. Trump criticized Biden's foreign policies, particularly on Europe and the Middle East conflicts, and pledged to revise or potentially reverse them.
