(VOVWORLD) -President Luong Cuong and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation arrived in Hanoi on Friday evening, successfully concluding the State visit to Laos.

During the visit, President Cuong had important talks with Lao top leader Sisoulith; met with National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone.
During the talks and meetings, the two sides agreed to strengthen the trustful and close political relationship, maintain regular visits and contacts at high and all levels, and focus on promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two peoples in various and flexible forms.

They also reaffirmed the highest priority to consolidating the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
Both stressed the need to find new and innovative ways to improve the effectiveness of cooperation in economics, culture, science and technology on the basis of maximizing the potential and strengths of each country.
