VOV's program cherishes radio broadcasts of April 30, 1975 victory
(VOVWORLD) -The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) hosted a special political-artistic program “The Song of Triumph” at the Hanoi Opera House on Friday evening, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

Attending the program were Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Review Hoang Trung Dung, and VOV President Do Tien Sy.
The program was divided into three parts, with part 1 “Hanoi Hears the Victory News” recreating the emotional morning of April 30, 1975, when Hanoi residents first heard the historic victory announcement on VOV's loudspeakers.
Part 2 titled “Marching to Saigon” portrays the vibrant atmosphere in the South as liberation forces entered Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City), featuring historical footage, eyewitness accounts, and iconic songs.
Part 3 themed “The Nation After Reunification” reflects the renewal, integration, and development of Vietnam in the post-reunification era.

One of the program’s most powerful highlights was the deeply moving reenactment of two historic victory broadcasts aired on April 30 and May 1, 1975, monumental moments in radio history that have echoed through the memories of millions of Vietnamese as the resounding call of freedom and independence.
