Brexit: Ireland wants UK to change its stance
(VOVWORLD) - The EU will respond positively if the British government shifts its position in Brexit talks in the coming weeks, Ireland's Foreign Minister Simon Coveney told reporters on Thursday.

To date the British government has offered nothing that comes close to what is needed to secure Irish and EU agreement, said Coveney, speaking at an annual meeting of his Fine Gael party. Ireland had hoped that the border issue would be resolved at this point in the negotiations. Coveney said a no-deal divorce from the EU would not be a clean break.
