Cambodia’s general election will proceed as planned
(VOVWORLD) - Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen said Thursday that next year’s general election will be held as scheduled.

The statement came after the Cambodian Supreme Court dissolved the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP). Speaking on national television, Mr. Hun Sen called for restraint and said CNRP members who are not banned from political activities are free to establish a new party.
Cambodia is scheduled to elect a new Senate next February.
