Experts stressed the importance of connecting domestic and foreign startup ecosystem. Pham Hong Quat, Head of the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development, said: "The National Assembly has adopted the Law on Support for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises and issued Decree 38 on establishing and operating an investment fund in Vietnam. Procedures are now simpler and more transparent for foreign investment funds in Vietnam. Domestic corporations and businesses are allowed to establish investment funds for scientific innovation."
Vietnam now has 3,000 startup businesses, double the number in 2015.
