(VOVworld) – An online conference to commemorate the 85^th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) was held on Thursday. Professor Hoang Chi Bao, member of the Party Central Committee’s Theory Council, said Vietnam’s status in the international arena could be attributed to the CPV’s wise leadership.

Vietnam has built a firm trust in the CPV to lead national unity to overcome difficulties and grab opportunities to build a peaceful, independent, democratic, and prosperous nation, following the wishes of late President Ho Chi Minh. Professor Bao said President Ho Chi Minh always stressed the importance of purifying and strengthening Party organization. “President Ho Chi Minh paid special attention to combating red-tape, corruption, individualism, and foreign invasion. For a ruling Party, the biggest danger is to go off from the people and reality and make inappropriate decisions. In order to have the people’s trust the Party must enhance revolutionary ethics and transparency.” The delegates discussed the 3 years of implementing the Party’s resolution on improving revolutionary ideology for young people.
