(VOVWORLD) - Tho Quang Fishing Port in Da Nang City has been receiving 10-15 local fishing boats daily since last Friday, the third day of the Lunar New Year with about 40-50 tons of seafood loaded at the port per day.

Many vessels operated throughout the Lunar New Year holiday and brought home 2-4 tons of seafood each.
Local fishermen are geared up for a new fishing season. After the Tet holiday, 15-20 departure permits from local fishing vessels are handled daily at the Tho Quang Fishing Port. Hundreds of others docked at the boatyard are preparing their fishing gear, fuel, ice, and provisions to set out soon.
Local fisherman Nguyen Van Do said, "We are going on a sea voyage soon to make use of the early-year fishing season. I hope my fellow seamen will fish well and get a good price for their catches."
Thousands of fishing boats in the central region of Vietnam are setting out to sea for a new fishing season, carrying with them an ambition to prosper and hope for favorable weather and bountiful catches.
