(VOVworld) - Minister of Defense General Ngo Xuan Lich and a high-ranking military delegation began an official visit to Laos on Monday and to attend the 10th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM-10) from May 23-26.

Lich paid a courtesy visit to Lao Party General Secretary and President Bounnhang Vorachith who said Lich’s visit will boost the special friendship and solidarity between the two Parties and governments.

Lich said he believes under Bounnhang Vorachith and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Laos will gain more socio-economic achievements in its renewal process.

Earlier, Lich held talks with the Lao Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Chansamone Chanyalath where they agreed that the two ministries will accelerate the search for and repatriation of remains of Vietnam’s soldiers who died in Laos. They decided to regularly exchange information and strategies in a timely fashion.
