(VOVworld) – The European Commission on Tuesday asked Russia and Ukraine to agree on temporary gas prices to resume the suspended gas supply until their debt dispute is settled. In an interview with Germany’s Frankfurt Daily newspaper, EU Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger said the provisional prices will be in force until the court makes its final ruling, provided Ukraine pays all outstanding debts. Oettinger proposed to check the amount of gas Russia sends each day across the Ukraine border and the amount that reaches European consumers from Ukraine this autumn to avoid misunderstandings and false accusations.
