(VOVworld) – Egypt, Algeria and Italy have reiterated calls for a quick political solution to the conflict in Libya, to help stop the influx of illegal migrants to Europe.

 Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry told reporters after a tripartite meeting on the Libyan crisis that Libya needs to form a unity government and reiterated his country’s support for Libya’s internationally recognized government and its army in the fight against terrorism. Italy’s Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said any political solution must be backed by all parties, adding the time to push for a final solution involving the rival parties in Libya was very limited. Meanwhile, Algeria's Minister Delegate for African and Maghreb Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel said Algeria and Egypt were trying to reach a fair solution which could lead to a stable Libya.
