Egyptian media praises Vietnam’s development experience
(VOVWORLD) - Egypt’s Al Ahram, El Messa, AL Gomhuria, and Youm 7 news agencies highlighted the importance of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Vietnam and praised Vietnam’s economic development achievements.

A number of newspapers published in-depth articles on Vietnam’s economy, society, and culture.The Elwatannews online newspaper on Tuesday said the visit is intended to discuss measures to strengthen the traditional relationship between the two countries in all fields. The article reviewed the Vietnam-Egypt historic friendship and Vietnam’s achievements in the resistance war and national construction and development.
The Egypt Today newspaper posted an article entitled “Vietnam – new Asian tiger” describing Vietnam’s achievements in its 31 years of renewal. The paper said Vietnam’s economy has grown rapidly since the 1990s with annual GDP growth reaching 6.2% and now it has become a middle-income country.
The Elakhbarnews online newspaper quoted Egyptian Ambassador to Hanoi Youssef Kamal Botrous Hanna underlining the importance of President Sisi’s visit in boosting traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He said Vietnam and Egypt have always supported each other in their struggles for independence, Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) cooperation, and other issues. He added the visit will open a new cooperation phase between Vietnam and Egypt.
