They scoped out travel routes, options for renting cars or deploying vehicles, accommodations, and immigration procedures to get Vietnamese citizens to the border with Jordan.
Ambassador Ly Duc Trung said that the Vietnamese community in Israel is safe for now. The dangerous areas are mainly on the southern border close to the Gaza Strip and the northern border adjacent to Lebanon.
However, to be ready for a bad situation, which could develop at any time, it’s essential to have a plan, he said, adding that the embassy will do its best to ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens.
The embassy has advised Vietnamese citizens and their families to stay away from combat zones, and have a plan to quickly evacuate themselves and their property to a third country or back to Vietnam.
According to a preliminary survey, approximately 250 Vietnamese people want to leave the combat zone, including 200 post-graduates and workers.
