EU leaders hope a deal with Turkey will lessen the flow of migrants on to Europe |
The EU is ready to co-operate with Turkey to mitigate the flow of immigrants to Europe, especially before the winter. EP President Martin Schulz said the EU needs to keep its pledges by providing more personnel and funding to migrant agencies.
By a vote of 475 to 68, the German Federal Diet approved a new migrant law on Thursday. The law accelerates asylum procedures and forces rejected applicants to quickly leave Germany. The new migrant law will restrict deportation and reduce social welfare for refugees.
