(VOVworld) – The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Tuesday that the second round of talks between Cuba and the European Union on Monday produced positive results, despite some remaining disagreements.

Two delegations led by Stavros Lambrinidis, the EU Special Representative for Human Rights, and Pedro Nuñez Mosquera, Director General for Multilateral Issues and International Law of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussed civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. The talks were held under the principle of mutual respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence, and non-intervention into each other’s internal affairs.
