European businesses praise Vietnam’s business climate
(VOVWORLD) - 70% of European companies welcome Vietnam’s recent efforts in improving the business environment and is confident about Vietnam’s potential. That’s according to the Business Climate Index released by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) at a press conference in Hanoi on Thursday.

Deputy Director of EuroCham in Vietnam Joaqium Torrinha said: "When it comes to investment in the future, 50% of companies are looking to increase their investment in Vietnam. In these statistics, 36% will maintain the same level of investment in Vietnam while only 5% will decrease investment or reduce operation in the country. Overall, things are still going to be good. What will happen in the future depends on many factors but for now things are at a moderately optimistic level."
Mr. Torrinha briefed participants about Eurocham’s upcoming activities, including the launching of its 'Whitebook of Trade and Investment in Vietnam” next Thursday. Eurocham’s Whitebook for 2017 features recommendations the implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, European businesses’ obstacles and potential solutions.
