(VOVworld) – European films, books, literature, and music will come to audiences in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh city during European Days in Vietnam 2014 from May 9^th to May 26^th. The festival will open in Hanoi on May 9^th with live Jazz performances of both classic and contemporary pieces by the outstanding Bavarian German orchestra, who will also perform other shows in Hanoi on May 10^th and in Ho Chi Minh city on May 11^th.

The annual European Film Festival will showcase 14 award winning movies featuring European life, countries, and culture.

According to Franz Jessen, Head of the EU Delegation in Hanoi, this is the 10^th event of its kind so organizers want it to be different from previous ones. The festival will help to tighten the EU-Vietnam relationship. This year marks EU’s expansion from 15 countries to 20, reflecting the cultural integration and diversity within the bloc.

The festival will also feature a photo exhibition about Hanoi and a conference to improve understanding about the EU and the importance of EU-Vietnam relations.
