On the third day of the New Lunar Year, the Temple of Literature in Hanoi has been crowded with people coming to ask scholars to give them calligraphic words.
“I’m Dao Dieu Linh, from Ho Chi Minh City. I’m a grade-12 pupil. I will take the university entrance exam this year. I ask for the words passing examinations and graduate.”
“I came here early in the morning to ask for calligraphy and pay respects to the ancestors. I feel relaxed and more confident about my studies and work in the coming year.”

Pham Minh Giang shared his feeling after visiting the Spring Calligraphy Festival and Exhibition and the photo exhibition “Vietnam my homeland”. “Tet is a time for family reunion. Today, my family welcomes our Italian in-law family in Vietnam to celebrate Tet. We go to the Temple of Literature on the first days of the year. I feel a deep love for my homeland, my family, and my national roots,” said Giang.
