Mr. Dam on Thursday inspected COVID-19 efforts in Binh Duong and praised the southern province’s innovations in maintaining and expanding the "green zone" and reducing the "red zone".

Binh Duing’s "3-green" production model (green factory, green boarding house, and green worker) has proved effective in helping businesses stabilize their production, he said.

Mr. Dam emphasized that Binh Duong is in its final stage of epidemic suppression, so it must continue its preventive measures, particularly positive case management at home, to quickly return the province to a "new normal" state.

“We will ask the Ministry of Health to prioritize vaccines for Binh Duong, as it is a large industrial province. Health experts say it will be impossible to completely eliminate the virus, but once we’re vaccinated, along with other preventive measures, the risk of death or severe illness will decrease, so we can return to a new normal situation,” Mr. Dam said. 

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Dam visited Field Hospital for Infectious Diseases No.5B. The hospital, which has a capacity of 500 beds (600 if necessary), receives patients with mild or asymptomatic COVID-19.
