(VOVworld) – New Indian Foreign Secretary S. Jaishankar arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Tuesday, 7 months after they had cancelled Foreign Secretary-level talks.

Mr Jaishankar will meet with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, National Security and Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry. Indian and Pakistani diplomats are expected to discuss ways to resolve territorial disputes in Kashmir and Siachin, rebuild trust, and boost people-to-people exchanges and trade ties.
