Indian Prime Minister visits US
(VOVWORLD) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the US on Tuesday in a state visit at the invitation of President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

Modi will also lead celebrations for the International Day of Yoga at the United Nations headquarters in New York on Wednesday, followed by a meeting with President Biden in Washington D.C.
High on the agenda will be the deepening and diversification of US-India relationship. He will then address US’s Congress the following day.
There will also be a flurry of meetings with the Indian American community and leading American CEOs to discuss strengthening trade and investment ties, and building a sustainable global supply chain.
Modi said he believes the visit will strengthen the US-India ties based on shared values and promote collaboration to respond to global challenges.
