(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam's progress in economic reform, social equality, opportunity creation, and global influence in recent decades is largely due to the Communist Party of Vietnam, according to Professor Faisal Ahmed of the FORE School of Management in New Delhi.

Professor Ahmed said Vietnam has maintained strong social equality, ensuring that people from all social classes have opportunities to participate in economic growth.
He said that ensuring social equality is one of the major reasons for economic progress.
"Because once you can do it, you actually empower people economically and that leads to economic empowerment. The Communist Party has made great contribution to doing it," the Professor said.
Professor Ahmed praised Vietnam's successful strategies and international relations, highlighting the Communist Party's role in shaping Vietnam’s global position. He noted that Vietnam has strengthened its international influence through strong bilateral ties with major powers and active participation in multilateral institutions.
Professor Ahmed said he believes Vietnam's goal of becoming a developed country by 2045 is realistic from a strategic perspective.
Over the past 20 years, Vietnam has diversified exports, boosted competitiveness, and integrated into global value chains, providing a strong foundation for this goal.
