(VOVworld) – Approximately 100 suspects have been arrested following an attack on Saudi Arabia’s embassy in Tehran which caused Riyadh to cool diplomatic relations with Tehran, a spokesman for Iran's judiciary said on Sunday. Iran's state TV IRNA reported that some of them have already been freed.
On January 2nd, protesters stormed the Saudi embassy in Tehran and the Saudi consulate in Mashhad, Iran’s second biggest city, to protest the Saudi Arabia’s execution of Nimr Al Nimr, a prominent Shi’ite cleric.
