IRONMAN 70.3 attracts 1,600 athletes
(VOVWORLD) - The sports competition “IRONMAN 70.3” is taking place in Da Nang city, attracting a record number of more than 1,600 athletes from 56 countries and territories. 620 Vietnamese athletes participated in the competition.

Themed "Be Greater Together”, the triathlon race starts with 1.9km swimming, 90km track bike along coastline, and ends with 21km running. Ahead of main events, a competition called IRONKIDS was held for athletes aging 6-10 and 11-14. To Nhat Duy, an athlete from Ho Chi Minh city, said it’s his second time joining the competition: "My life has changed since I participated in the triathlon. I practice the three sports every day. My health has been much improved since then and I make friends with a lot of people who also love doing the triathlon sports."
