(VOVworld) – Islamic State militants say they will execute Jordanian pilot Maaz al-Kassasbeh if Amman does not hand over a female suicide bomber who is on death row in Jordan.

The IS released the threat in a video Wednesday on its Twitter account with a voice, identifying itself as Japanese freelance reporter Kenji Goto, saying his captors will kill Maaz al-Kassasbeh by sunset Thursday.
The video appeared to postpone a previous deadline set on Tuesday in which the IS threatened to kill both Kenji Goto and al-Kassasbeh if Jordan didn’t release al-Rishawi in 24 hours.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh said on Wednesday that Jordan is waiting for IS confirmation that the pilot is safe. Al-Rishawi had been reported transferred to Syria for a hostage swap, which Mr Judeh denied.
