(VOVworld) – The Israeli Army has detained 80 members of the Islamic movement Hamas, including members of Palestine’s Legislative Council, in retaliation for a recent abduction of 3 Israeli students. Israel assumes that the 3 Israeli students were abducted by Hamas to exchange for Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons. Palestinian government spokesperson Adnan Dmeiri has condemned Israel’s actions saying that Tel Aviv always tries to sabotage any co-operation with Palestine.
