Gaza health authorities have reported that at least 35 Palestinians have been killed, most of them in the southern areas of the Gaza Strip.
Over the past two weeks, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), 280,000 Gazans have been displaced.
On the southern edge of Gaza, the Israeli military has reinforced control around Rafah, and the UN said that 65% of the enclave is now within “no go” zones or both.
Israel is expanding its security buffer deeper into Gaza without providing a clear explanation.
