(VOVworld) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated his commitment to a two-state solution, saying there were no preconditions to renewing negotiations with Palestine.

Addressing the annual Herzliya conference, Netanyahu said that he had been trying to speak substantively to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for the last six years, calling on Abbas to return to talks without preconditions.
Netanyahu blamed the Palestinians for the 14-month impasse in negotiations and slammed the Palestinians’ move to join the International Criminal Court, which he says could be a move to attempt to prosecute Israeli officials for war crimes, saying that the move was bad for peace.
He said that he felt there was a chance to renew negotiations, because some of the Arab states “silently agree” with him and that they might influence the Palestinians to adopt “a more conciliatory and positive approach.”
