(VOVworld) – On Tuesday Libyan Grand Mufti Sadik Sheikh Al-Ghariani urged a halt to the new round of talks between parliamentarians until the Supreme Court decides whether Libya’s new government is legitimate.

He said that the UN-backed meeting between Libyan rival parliamentarians last Monday was “not a real dialogue” but “a betrayal to martyrs.” Ghariani said that he did not recognise the new Libyan parliament, because it had conducted “dangerous actions,” such as calling for foreign intervention in Libya, manipulating the Libyan State, and calling “revolutionary militants” of the “Libya Dawn” Islamic coalition terrorists.
