Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, said that this year, the province aims to replant over 31,000 hectares of forest, 2.4 times higher than last year.
“Quang Ninh has introduced several policies to directly support those in the forestry sector. We have conducted research to identify new tree varieties, native species, and long-term trees that are well-suited to the local environment. Through this year's Tree Planting Festival, we aim to swiftly address the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi. We hope the trees planted this spring will thrive and help restore green spaces in Quang Ninh,” said Thang.
Son La city also launched the Spring Tree Planting Festival yesterday. Ha Nhu Hue, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Son La province, said that Son La province strives to complete and exceed the target of planting 14 million trees from 2021 to 2025.
“For Son La province, the Tree Planting Festival is a meaningful and practical annual event aimed at protecting the environment, enhancing both urban and rural landscapes, and boosting forest coverage,” said Hue.
