(VOVworld) - The Mexico-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group made its debut in Mexico on Friday.

President of the group Claudia Corichi Garcia said the parliamentarians will work to boost dialogues and strengthen the multi-faceted relations between the two countries.  They will optimize opportunities from the Trans- Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum to realize the formation of a strategic partnership between Vietnam and Mexico.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Le Linh Lan valued the action program of the group, especially the organization of the ASEAN Week in October. She pledged collaboration with the Mexico-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group to boost bilateral friendship.

A number of former Mexican ambassadors to Vietnam and members of the Mexico-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group hailed the beauty of Vietnam’s land and people, saying they hoped to visit Vietnam.
