More than 106,000 substandard houses removed nationwide
(VOVWORLD) - More than 5,500 substandard houses have been removed over the past week, bringing the total number to more than 106,000 according to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.

58 out of 63 provinces and cities have established provincial-level steering committees for this effort. Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau have already achieved their targets, with no remaining substandard houses.
Binh Dinh province is pushing forward its efforts to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its liberation and prepare for its provincial Party Congress.
"We have mobilized the entire political system, including with state, private and community resources. We are launching an intensive campaign to build or repair houses for poor and near-poor households, as well as policy beneficiary families," Binh Dinh provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung said.
Meanwhile, Son La province has launched a campaign to build or repair 360 houses in 79 days.
