(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue met Cuban revolutionary leader, General Raúl Castro Ruz, and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel on Thursday (local time) at the Cuban Revolutionary Palace in Havana.

At the meeting, the Cuban leaders applauded Mr. Hue’s visit, which they said is meaningful and shows the comprehensiveness in the cooperative ties between the two countries, contributing to furthering the relationship between the two Parties, Governments, National Assemblies, and peoples.
Chairman Hue presented the Cuban leaders with the book "Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam" by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

On Thursday evening, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and President of the National Assembly of People's Power Esteban Lazo Hernández attended a cultural and art program.
The program marked the success of the special session of the 10th National Assembly of Cuba, the 50th anniversary of leader Fidel Castro Ruz's first visit to Vietnam and to the Liberation Zone of South Vietnam, the 60th anniversary of the Committee for Solidarity with South Vietnam and anticipated the 63rd anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba this year.
