(VOVWORLD) - Activities of the Vietnam-Australia Friendship Parliamentarian Group have contributed to boosting bilateral ties, said Nguyen Hanh Phuc, Secretary General of the National Assembly of Vietnam.

At a meeting with visiting President of the Australian Senate Scott Ryan in Hanoi on Monday, Mr. Phuc, who is President of the Vietnam-Australian Friendship Parliamentarians Group, expressed his hope that Australia will support Vietnam in improving the quality and competitiveness of its commodities during the implementation of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), and that the Australian parliament will help build an e-National Assembly library.
Mr. Ryan urged Vietnam and Australia to reinforce their ties, and work together more closely as they are members of the CPTPP.
