(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has signed a decision to establish a national committee to prepare for the organization of APEC Summit and related meetings scheduled to take place in Vietnam in 2017.

Accordingly, the committee presided over deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh will constitute 5 sub-committees in charge of directing, supervising, and coordinating preparation and organization work.

Hosting 2017 APEC Year is key to Vietnam’s foreign affairs until 2020, reflecting Vietnam’s determination to integrate internationally and raise its position in the international arena.

Through APEC 2017 activities, Vietnam will take advantage of international resources to implement its socio-economic development strategy until 2020, create more opportunities for regions, provinces, the domestic business community, and promote Vietnam as a dynamic nation, full of potential, moving towards comprehensive integration.
