New Zealand PM Christopher Luxon to visit Vietnam next week

(VOVWORLD) - New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon will pay an official visit to Vietnam and attend the second ASEAN Future Forum from next Tuesday to Friday at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

PM Luxon has called Vietnam Southeast Asia's rising star, standing out as one of the region's fastest-growing economies. This year the two countries will celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations.

Mr. Luxon says his visit will energize the relationship, strengthen trade, and open the door to new opportunities for New Zealand businesses.

During his visit, PM Luxon will meet with Vietnamese leaders and deliver a keynote speech at the ASEAN Future Forum.
