(VOVworld) – At least 47 were killed and 52 injured in a bomb blast on Tuesday at a market in the town of Sabon Gari in Nigeria’s north-eastern state of Borno. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Borno is one of 3 Nigerian states that are under control of the extremist group Boko Haram. The group has spread its influence even in Nigeria’s neighbouring countries: Cameroon, Chad, and Niger. The Nigerian government has co-operated with neighbouring countries to form a coalition force to fight the extremist group.
