Online exhibition featuring Indochina’s old seaports to open on April 15

(VOVWORLD) -200 documents and images will be displayed online, depicting the planning process of seaports, lighthouses as well as maritime transport activities in Indochina in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The exhibition entitled “Old Ports: From Indochina to the World” will be debuted on April 15 by the National Archives Center I of the Ministry of the Interior, at archives.org.vn and facebook.com/luutruquocgia1.
Organizers said many of the exhibited items will be made public for the first time.
The exhibition’s three parts are Seaport-Gateway for trade and penetration, Lighthouse-God's eye to watch the sea, and Maritime transport-Connecting horizons.
In the elaborately designed sea and island space, viewers will join the journey to Vietnam’s three regions of the North, Central and South to look back at the evolution of international gateways at sea.
