Participants discussed solutions to tourism revival and safe co-existence with the coronavirus and urged for plans to welcome foreign tourists and open large-scale cultural festivals.

Nguyen Quy Phuong, Director of the Tourism Department under the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said, “Quang Ninh province has been and will be the center of Vietnam’s tourism development. More importantly, Quang Ninh is able to coordinate with other localities to operate inter-provincial tours in the north and northeastern regions. Promoting connection among regions and localities is crucial because it’s the only way for us to attract more tourists and launch new tourism services to restore tourism in the new normal.”
